Founder & Executive Chef, Dre’s Island Flava®

Chef Andre Christie’s journey began in Jamaica, where he was raised by a hardworking single mother and spent much of his childhood in the kitchen with his grandmother, Miss Mavis.

That kitchen became one of his first classrooms. It was where he learned the value of seasoning, patience, family, and putting care into every meal. Those early lessons sparked a passion for cooking that grew into more than 20 years of culinary experience.

Today, Chef Andre is the Founder and Executive Chef of Dre’s Island Flava®, a Florida-based food brand built from his Jamaican roots and his belief that bold Jamaican flavor can be enjoyed far beyond traditional Jamaican dishes.

Dre’s Island Flava was created to bring serious flava to everyday food, from chicken, wings, shrimp, salmon, and steak to burgers, tacos, pasta, vegetables, and more.

Family Is at the Heart of the Brand

Andre is the proud father of two daughters, Jada and Abigail, who are both part of the Dre’s Island Flava story. J’s Mild Jerk Sauce is named after Jada, while A-Spicy Jerk Sauce is named after Abigail.

For Chef Andre, Dre’s Island Flava is about more than food. It is about family, heritage, hard work, and building something that can be passed down for generations.
